Between Washington DC and Orlando, there are so many airports that could support a jet like that that those pilots could have had that thing on the ground, with an ambulance at the airstairs door in minutes. Air traffic controllers are incredibly cooperative in cases like that, and they have very itchy trigger fingers when it comes to calling emergency services. I hope he was alright. And that that FA got some more training. Wow. Just wow.
