Cowboy Dan is a co-founder of the Lake
Douglas Ranchers Association. He competed in Chute Dogging and Calf
Roping.
After the Atlanta Rodeo in June, 2002 he has decided
to retire from competing in the camp events. After another
injury in 2006 Cowboy Dan retired from competing entirely. He started his rodeo career in 1997.
Cowboy Dan now works to help produce FGRA rodeos - managing
the FGRA website since 2005, and coordinating contestant
registration at the 2006 and 2007 Sunshine Stampede Rodeos.

Lake Douglas Ranch
Cowboy Dan's current
"passion" is working on the Ranch - getting it ready for the
future.
Cowboy Dan also enjoys working out,
rollerblading, and working on Web sites now that he's not wrestling
steer.
Cowboy Dan works in the computer field for a software company as a Technical
Engineer - a fancy way of saying Tech Support. He
continues to work on websites when he's able. For anyone who
is interested in knowing...he really doesn't miss his medical career
at all (just some of his former coworkers).
Cowboy Dan took the buckle in chute dogging at the Dallas rodeo
in November, 2001. This was his first buckle. He
finished the 2002 rodeo year in 14th place in chute dogging and was
invited to Finals Rodeo in Wichita, Kansas. This was Cowboy
Dan's first invitation to finals. He finished the Finals
weekend ranked 4th overall.
All in all, 2002 was a
very good rodeo year!
Now that Cowboy Dan has retired from rodeo competition he only
goes to a few rodeos each year - as a spectator, or to help out
behind the scenes when he's able.
If you'd like a description of any rodeo events drop Cowboy
Dan a line.
