The Ranch Prepares for Hurricane Frances
After Hurricane Charley made his surprise visit to Central Florida we decided not to take any chances with Hurricane Frances.  Frances' size and speed promised a lot of damage for much of the state.  We decided to evacuate.  We packed up the valuables and the irreplaceable items.  We secured as much as possible and then headed for Gainesville - and a concrete block house.

Below are some pictures of the work we did to secure the Ranch for evacuation.

Hurricane Ivan is close on the heels of Hurricane Frances  so we left most of our preparations in place for the week between the "events."  If we have to evacuate again we'll be ready to go in just a couple of hours.
